THE FIRST FOUR HAVE ALWAYS BEEN NEWS PREVALANCES.....THEN, DURING THE 1950'S, NEWS AUDIENCES' ATTENTIONS WERE DIVERTED TO NEWS OF 'ALIENS'.....'GIANT INSECTS' AND OTHER DEVASTATING DEVIATIONS THAT WERE PRODUCED BY ATOMIC ENERGY EXPERIMENTS OF 'THE GOVERNMENT'.....SEQUENCING FROM GIANT ANTS TO GIANT LIZARDS, IN THE MID-1950'S, TO GIANT HUMANS, EVEN GIANT BLOBS.....MENACING WE PETTY MORTALS......EVEN FELLINI HAD HIS TAKE ON SUCH SPECTACLES, WITH BOCCACCIO 70's giant Anita Ekberg. I just watched the most recent 'take' on DUNE, that incorporated all of these "6".... with the substitution of sand for sweets, while 'staying true' to the shrill shifting sands leitmotif of THEM.....
