Margaret Rutherford for the Brits, Virginia Mayo for Ameica, and Bardot for the French
Often, there were different versions of films for varying countries.....Whereas Americans got provocative pointy bosoms, cinched waistes and heels far from the floor, the French and Swedes were always more daring and naturalistic....the Englishwomen wore stubby heavy heels and thick clothing....."Please, we're British!"......It was not until I was in college that my tastes moved to Paris......the jazz was good there, too..
